Stop smoking 2010 - Walk Yourself Healthy

Now with the 2010 upon us its time to cash in on your New Years Resolutions. Its time to implement those changes we have so rightly promised ourselves.

Take action, Quit that cigarette now, put it down and start your New Year and new life Nicotine free. I presume you are reading this blog because you either have Quit Cigarettes or want to Quit Smoking. It will not be the easiest task you will ever take on, many people have fallen off the wagon at an early stage. This is because they don't really believe that they can do it. The self believe is not strong in them. They cant picture themselves smoke free in the future.

Your concept of smoking must change if you are to succeed in becoming a Nicotine Quitter. Scale back the importance you put on smoking as it needs to be put way down the priority list.
My big tip for kicking the habit in the new year is to replace the cravings with something else. This is a method I adopted for my own quit last year with great success. Walking, yes plain old free walking is a great substitute for smoking. Every time the cravings got a bit out of hand I went for a walk, every situation that accured that I would normally smoke, I went walking.Walking become my new drug. I started with little walks between 5-8 minutes at a time. As i got further into my Quit I increased my walking periods to more frequent and longer periods.

There were great things happening to me, as i was enjoying the benefits of not smoking, I was also enjoying the benefits of exercise. Walking is just an example of an exercise that suited and worked for me, but choose an activity that fits in with your own quit routine. Most exercise is free and can be done with little inconvenience, therefore give it some consideration as you have nothing to loose and everything to gain.
Become a Nicotine Quitter today.

  1. Good to hear that you're changing your lifestyle. Replace the old habit into a good one. Spend your money on important things like buying equipments to be use for work-out.
